Planetarium Observatory Experience

About this experience

The Cyprus Planetarium invites you to a unique small-group astronomy experience combining guided exploration of the night sky, telescope observing, and access to the Planetarium Observatory. Beginning at the Sky Amphitheatre, participants will explore the visible night sky through guided uranography, learning how to identify constellations, navigate using the stars, and understand the celestial objects visible on the night of the event. The evening then continues inside the Planetarium Observatory, where participants will learn how observatories and telescopes operate before observing a selection of celestial objects through the observatory telescope. Depending on the season and observing conditions, targets may include the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and double stars. Throughout the evening, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss what they observe, and gain a deeper understanding of the night sky.
