Each year, Dark Sky Week brings communities together worldwide to celebrate the beauty and importance of the night sky. Inspired by this global initiative, the Cyprus Planetarium and the Dark Sky Cyprus Chapter invite you to a special programme of events dedicated to exploring and protecting the wonders above us.
Enjoy a range of activities—from guided observations and star parties to talks, fun games and STEAM. The programme includes family-friendly events that encourage shared discovery and strengthen bonds between families, as well as adults-only experiences offering a more relaxed atmosphere under the stars.
Beyond its beauty, the night sky is vital for human health and the environment. Light pollution disrupts sleep, affects wildlife, and threatens biodiversity. Protecting dark skies supports ecosystems, reduces energy waste, and promotes sustainability.

Dark Sky Week is led by DarkSky International, a global organization working to protect the night through education, advocacy, and responsible lighting practices.
